            Instructional Technology Awareness Conference

We need your help to make the 2007 WNC- EdNET Instructional Technology Awareness Conference a success! 60 minute concurrent breakout sessions are scheduled for just before lunch and repeated just after the break.

 

The WNC-EdNET ITAC program committee strives to provide high-quality professional development. Therefore all submissions will be reviewed and evaluated by the program committee based on the relevance of the topic to conference goals, educational significance, value for participants, and presenter knowledge and experience. Not every submission may be selected. Presentations should address one or more of the following areas:

Instructional Technology Integration: Presentations focusing on the integration and implementation of the various technology tools and resources available to teachers to enhance instruction. Examples include, but are not limited to interactive white boards, hand-held computers, blogs, podcasts, web quests, virtual libraries, instructional / educational software, and digital multimedia.

Technology Leadership/Administration: Presentations addressing leadership issues in a learner-focused school and classroom which uses technology to address challenges many schools face. Topics could include technology planning and policies, staff roles and standards, assessment, professional development, data-driven decision making, budgets and funding.

Distance Learning: Presenters should address the various delivery methods available beyond the traditional classroom. Methods include distance learning technology, interactive videoconferencing, virtual field trips, content/course management, e-Conferencing, ITV consortiums, resources and opportunities for collaboration.

Collaboration & Networking: This strand focuses on successfully building communities of support. We are looking  for presentations that discuss PLC (professional learning communities), cross-program collaboration opportunities, affinity groups, best practices and other ideas for networking with your peers.
